Gotta love Pete Abe - a great blogger who let us share his beat writer seat in the press box while he was covering the Yankees for the Westchester Journal News. I wish him well back at the Globe with his beloved Red Sox. These days, he's gotta be missing us - his post reminded me of Bill Murray's pep talk in "Meatballs".
Truth be told, I miss the guy too.
But I'd rather they sign our sportswriters than our players.
Losing Abe was not like losing Aceves.
