I believe I was the one who forecast that ol'Jake Ellsbury would get hot down the stretch. Prove me wrong. He looks like a threat even when he walks.
I can't explain why, but it is fun to rub an ugly loss in the face of dynasty architect Buck Showalter -- even if he is a decent man. Funny how a bad team makes me invincible.
Nobody—not since Richard Nixon, anyway—lets the bleeding show the way Buck does (not that I'm comparing him to Nixon, or Nixon to anybody!)
You are right, Parson, Ellsbury has come on, as has Headley. I think the latter has to do with getting to play first base, as opposed to third, but who knows?
As for thumbs down, well, it has a nice "Death!" or "Finish 'em!" connotation to it. Best of all, I can't think of the Yankees ever doing anything, altogether, as a team. I have to admit...it's kinda fun!
