Runk blog continued...

Ooh, ooh... think this:

If somebody ever tells you, "That's Chinatown, Jake," your snappy reply should be, "That's baseball, Suzyn."

In fact, whenever somebody says anything to you, your snappy reply should be, "That's baseball, Suzyn."

Example:
STRANGER: "Man, that Kim Kardashian, she's a go-getter
. Whaddaya think?"

YOU: "That's baseball, Suzyn."

STRANGER: "Yeahp, I guesso. You mean, like, in life, right?"

YOU: "That's baseball, Suzyn."

STRANGER: "Absolutely."

BTW, you know what's going to happen? The Yankees are going to lose tonight, then lose to Baltimore this weekend, and Cashman is STILL going to trade prospects for over-the-hill farts. You know why? Because that's baseball, Suzyn.

Amen, Duque!

We're all hoping that they get their butts kicked all over the damned ball park(s) before the trade deadline. Because hopefully that will eliminate any crazy ideas about making the wild card this year. But it's probably a vain hope. Even if they lose all these games going into the deadline, dumbass Cashman will probably still trade away guys like Brito and Randy Vasquez for guys like Edwin Encarnacion.

And he is so stupid that he won't trade away any of the guys who he should get rid of.

Everybody has to stay here until his contract expires. It's like the Hotel California. You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.

Who will be this year's Edwin Encarnacion, Frankie Montas, Harrison Bader?

Well, we just saw the terrible KC Royals. How about this for a Cashman trade: Brito, Vasquez, the Martian, Austin Wells, Oswald Peraza, and Florial for Salvador Perez. Because you have to give quality to get quality. And Salvie Perez checks all the boxes: he's 33, probably close to being done; a right hand hitter; a big guy (6'3"); has had many All Star years in K.C.; is better than our current catching core; hits home runs; will cost two arms and two legs in prospects; his acquisition will be hailed as pure genius by the moronic press, but the price tag will guarantee that the Yankees will not win anything for the next five years. Yep, he's just the right fit.
