I will write about what it is like to go to an MLB game in a minor league ball park in the AM but I wanted to post three pictures of the inside of the sardine store that JM posted on the game thread.
There's one in the Lisbon Airport that I had time to see during my escape from Spain to avoid original Covid 19.
1) In 2020 it looked like this:
2) This is a throne made to honor sardines in general. I used to use it as my background image for Zoom meetings.
I guess the idea is that you buy a tin from the year you were born or married or whatever.
I couldn't imagine at the time that this would be a successful marketing concept, or at least successful enough to pay the rent on a retail space in a busy airport but apparently it was.
And finally, because this is a baseball blog, here is a picture from today's game. I like the juxtaposition of the marketing slogan "clean power promise" under the image of Aaron Judge.
As I said above, I'll write about the game in the AM.

Excellent Doug! Thanks for that (neighbor?)
Excellent, Doug! Thanks very much.
And whattaya know? Once again, Boone didn't need to save Weaver and Williams. Huh.
Thanks, Doug, this is great! My photo was of the Lisbon airport location, but I didn't go inside. I missed a lot!
Excellent Judge and ad sign combo. Ya can't make that stuff up!
