Seriously, after our damning loss the day before ( 2-1 in 11 innings ), I thought there was no way we win game three.
The line-up reenforced my thinking. We had the back up catcher, the back-up to the back up at third base, DJ having his first start at second base, a back-up at first base, and a back-up (sort of ) starter.
Boone was trying to rest some stars.
The first five innings looked like the previous 11 innings ...no offense. Maybe one or two runs would be our max.
But Boone subbed well ( see Paul G HR as a pinch hitter ), and Judge and the Martian got big hits.
The pitching was shockingly good, even after two unearned runs scored due to a bungled play at first ( a difficult play, but bungled ).
Seattle is a good team. This was a big win.
A game we figured to lose. But didn't. Nice work, men.

Yes, it was amazing. They finally won a come from behind game, and a one run game to boot! Boone finally made a good move. What the hell is going on?
OK, who laced Boone's bubble gum with acid?
