1. The Yankee most susceptible to a career-ending gaffe in the post-season is Phil Coke. If he blows a lead, furious fans will start calling him "Phil Choke."
2. After Redsock fan Ted Kennedy died, we rattled off seven straight wins, then lost to a guy nicknamed Doc.
3. Brian Bruney is like the Thing, of the Fantastic Four: Only when in his hidious, girthy condition does he effectively clobber the opposition. He must reexpose himself to deadly cosmic rays (late night french fries and gravy) and return to his horrible image, or face extinction. He should also befriend a hot blind girl who sees his inner-beauty.
4. After he replaces Lou Gehrig as the all-time Yankee leader in hits, Derek Jeter will be in line to be honored in the manner of the Iron Horse. Because he is the living embodiment of human perfection, Jeter will live to age 123, before succumbing to old age. Henceforth, old age will be referred to as "Derek Jeter's disease."
5. If you went by the numbers only, Arod should bat 7th.

Am I misinterpreting this or is there a reference to the toxic avenger in item #3?
What numbers say ARod should bat 7th?
If anything he should bat second -- he's getting walked in 16% of his plate appearances, so despite only hitting whatever he is, he's OBPing over .400. And despite only hitting whatever he is, he's cranking out homeruns and doubles like it's his motherfucking job; and it is.
The man is the second best baseball player in the world on a regular basis... let's not lose sight of that, duque.
I love A-Rod to the point of homosexuality, but "cranking out homeruns and doubles like it's his motherfucking job?"
Ok, he's tied for second on the team with 24 HRs, but he's tied for 10th on the team with only 12 doubles along with Hinske with your best shot. Hell, Hairston and Matsui have 9 more doubles than him.
He does have the second best OBP on the team to Mo, so I'll also give you that.
