2004

Don’t empty out your party drawer,
Or gaily prance around the floor,
It’s time, my friends, to slam this door.
Let's not relive two thousand four.

Don’t ditch your wife like Albert Gore,
Or act as if we’ve won this war.
In fact, we know not what’s in store…
Let's not relive two thousand four.

Of course, be thankful, evermore.
And celebrate each Yankee score.
But one point we must not ignore:
We cannot let them force game four.

As we all learned from the greatest philosopher of the 20th Century, "It ain't over 'til it's over."
But I'm starting to believe that J.J. Hardy must have decided that Gwen Verdon was NOT irresistible.
You fool!
