William Shatner and Adam West star in the failed 1964 TV pilot Alexander the Great.
West called it “one of the worst scripts I have ever read and it was one of the worst things I’ve ever done.” Had it gone on to become a series, Star Trek and Batman--and therefore the world--would have paid a terrible price.
Note: the horndogs who posted this on YouTube set it to start near the 18 minute mark, when Shatner is bare nekkid in a bathtub. Pull the slider back to 00:00 to be bored by every wretched minute of this awful thing.

A slider is a form of hamburger. You do't pull it, you eat it.
Maybe underneath the rubble of HArvey or Irma the Yankees can UNEARTH a PROACTIVE COACH for a change...Girardi needs to Go hopefully washed away by todays rain
The Richard Burton big screen take on Alexander was even more wretched, believe it or not.
This is great. So over the top, the top isn't even in viewing distance.
But...Joseph Cotten? John Freakin' Cassavetes? I mean, the great Johnny Staccato? (Now, there was a cool show.)
How did this miss? It was certainly bad enough for network TV at the time. And Simon Oakland, to boot.
