Officially, Alex Rodriguez is being spurned because of performance enhancing drugs.
Honestly, it's because he played for the Yankees.
There is nothing else to say.
Well, Suzyn, I thank you...

No. it is because he was a cheat and a loser. Let's call it as it is or was!
Perhaps Analytics can break it down for us?
@ edb....Yet so many other "cheaters and losers" have been voted in, including Ortiz, Pedro Martinez, Sandy Alomar, Rafael Palmeiro, and the newly elected Adrian Beltre. LOLOL...even Aaron Boone was on that 2003 NY Times steroid user list. Yes, A-Rod is an unrepentant and arrogant A-Douche. But if the others have been elected, surely Alex belongs as well.
@ el Duque....I think the real reason he is not in the HOF is because instead of being contrite and flying under the radar, he became a lightning rod ( L-Rod, perhaps?) and sued MLB. Suing your employer will not lead to any work-related awards.
Also, the ironic part of that 103 cheaters list is that PEDs or not, almost all of those people wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell making the HOF. They just wanted to hold on to their jobs and lucrative pay.
Everybody likes milkshakes.
