Keep it going. Bellinger can be had. He’s no Soto, but he’s no Verdugo either.
More important than Bellinger would be Burnes. A starting staff of Cole-Burnes-Rodon-Gil-Schmidt would be something. They could trade Stroman. OR...maybe keep Stroman as the number 5 guy, make Schmidt a set-up man. Top it off with Tanner Scott for the pen.
Pitching, pitching, pitching. If the Yanks just did that, they could ongepotchket the rest.
Exactly, Hoss. Burnes has to be next. Trade Stroman--hell, I'd trade Rodon if it were possible--and go with Cole Burnes Fried Gil Schmidt/Rodon. Scott would top it off.
Pitching is the key. Reliable, consistent pitching.
Trying to replace one player with talent with 3 players with none.
