Our best shots at Minor League Triple Crowns

Yeah, it's pure numbers crapola -- players like Jesus get promoted, thus ruining their chances -- but it's fun.

We have serious Triple Crown threats in the minors.

Look at Tampa, where Austin Romine -- stepping from the shadow of Jesus -- leads in RBIs, is tied for second with HRs and is within a few 5-5 days of the batting title.

At Staten Island, our Mickey Mantle goes by the name Neil Medchill. He plays LF and leads the league in HRs. He's within striking distance of RBIs and Ave.

Way way way down in the Gulf Coast League, so deep the players wear diapers instead of the coaches, our bonus baby is Kelvin De Leon. (He's the millionaire forced to do community service for complaining about the "scout" who pimped him to the Yankees.) Also, he might be the next Jesus.
