“Why, man, he doth bestride the narrow world Like a Colossus, and we petty men Walk under his huge legs, and peep about To find ourselves dishonorable graves….”
His album reinterpreting Gershwin standards is very interesting. A little hit and miss but some of them are really good. Worth a listen if that's your inclination.
There's one more that I just remembered and couldn't help but share...
Growing up I had a friend (Ron Wenders) who as a kid was so jealous of all the attention his older sister was getting for making one of those rubber band balls that he begin mining snot from his nose to make his own version of a ball. This kid would dig in multiple times a day and add layer after layer like he was a human plaster of paris machine. He showed it to me when it was about the size of a racquet ball. It was kinda gross, but it was also pretty damn cool. It sorta resembled a milky grey glass Christmas ornament. It was hard, extremely light weight and surprising very round. Plus it apparently really disgusted everyone in his family when Ron formally presented it on Thanksgiving.
"...and, when he shall die, Take him and cut him out in little stars, And he will make the face of heaven so fine That all the world will be in love with night And pay no worship to the garish sun."

"In dreams, no pain will kiss the brow
The love of ages fills the head
The days that linger there in prey of emptiness
Of burned-out dreams"
The glass was raised, the fired rose
The fullness of the wine, the dim last toasting
While at port adieu or die
RIP to a musical genius.
So many great songs.
As an FYI

LMAO!!!!
Sly and Brian. Not a good week for musical legends.
👍
👏
I don’t wanna overlook Sly…the first rock concert I ever went to - Nassau Coliseum, 1974 I think.. place was half empty, but I loved it!
btr saw Sly with Kool and the Gang Radio City Music Hall. He was late.
Brian Wilson is jamming somewhere with Glen Campbell. The sound is groooovvy, man!
Is Judge not in the line up??
Enough about Brian Wilson's sly and the family's snot ball. Back to baseball.
The same stupid reason DJL isn't in the lineup. Why play your 2 hottest hitters?
Brian Wilson started the Beach Boys. If Trump starts a band, it'll be called The Bleach Boys. Groan
In response to your blasphemous comment, I have initiated a game thread.
Cheers.
