There is a new book out about the Redsocks.And it's called "Dynasty."
Well, I suppose it's a reasonable title. I mean in the last four years, the Red Sox have:
Won TWO championships.
Won ONE division title!
Missed the playoffs only ONE TIME!
Have the SECOND-MOST wins in their division!
There have been three 100-win seasons since 2004, and the Redsocks have ... NONE of them.
Dynasty, huh? Well, the book was released on April Fools Day. (Which also explains the promo blurbs on the back cover from Bud Selig and ESPN's Buster Olney. An ESPN guy fawning over the Redsocks? Shocking, I know.)
You know why the Redsock fans will be giddy over the word "dynasty?" Because it's a Yankee word. But hey, we won't begrudge the Redsock fans' need to believe they're somehow like us. And if you want to spend you hard-earned cash to buy "Dynasty," you could always click here.
