Alex did his thing yesterday, when we needed him to carry the ballclub.
Derek was out, Jorge was on his way out, Jason could barely walk, Phil couldn't find anything to throw, Melky and Shelly were in MLB jail, so we needed the $250 million man to deliver.
Thank the jesuits, the mollusks and the head office guys for not letting this guy go, once his agent gave the Yankees a free ticket out of jail earlier in the FA signing period. It's as if the Knicks got a " do over " on the Ewing trade and, after considerable thought, still made the trade.
Somehow, the Yankees found more years and more money to keep this MVP. He'll be failing to drive in key runs for the next 20 years, I think.
Yesterday, K-Rod went down looking three times and swinging once. He looked better watching than swinging.
Glad he's back. We have no depth but we have K-Rod again.
Let's go for another "golden sombrero" tonight.
Love that bubble gum.

Speaking of bubble gum, did you see how much gum Pena's kid had in his mouth? I think he popped a piece in for every run they scored.
