Silence from Phil

Phil Hughes has gone into seclusion.

Possibly, he has shut himself off from the outside world.

Speculation is pointless. We simply don't know.

The Yankee February Employee of the Month has not written on his blog since Sunday, posting only a photograph from his former Miami hotel room.

The freeze in communication likely means Phil is devoting his mental framework to the cause at hand: Victory tonight.

By noon, 84 comments had been posted, almost all wishing him well in his quest.
