Are You Listening To This?

Suzyn spilled coffee all over her notes. John was really nice about it, telling her that he's done the same thing a thousand times. I think he really made her feel better.

I'll post updates as they happen.

WAIT I ALMOST FORGOT!
A batted ball hit Joba and now he's dead.

UPDATE! I did forget that, early in the game, John called Memorial Day "Decoration Day." Jesus, how old is he?

Also: Suzyn says Joba is alive, but he bruised his knee.

If we lose tonight, it's on her.

If he fails to hit 3.00 on the WinWarble, it's on her.

Gringo, not much to say now but I'll do a whole game soon. I'll let you know in advance. UNLESS YOU'RE JUST BEING SARCASTIC LIKE EVERYONE ELSE AROUND THIS STUPID PLACE.

"The alternative name of "Memorial Day" was first used in 1882. It did not become more common until after World War II, and was not declared the official name by Federal law until 1967"

You were supposed to live blog the Joel Osteen event. I really want you to live blog from MacArthur Stadium though. I bet they have WiFi there, right?

Is the live blogging over?

Snap!

Anonymous: Yeah, but I never personally heard anyone born after 1918 use "Decoration Day." Until John.

I'm Bill White: I missed Osteen? Shit! Also, I don't think the chiefs offer WiFi, but they must have CB radio by now. I might use Twitter to try and arrange a boozy evening with Shelley Duncan. I'll liveblog that if there's a signal.

Gringo: Sorry to fly off the handle. I blame pressure. Thank you for your sincere and kind words!

Hey SUPERFRANKETC.,

What we need is a great local bar where they serve perfect Crown Royal manhattans, offer unlimited raw bluepoints and fresh clams with tangy sauces or vinegrettes, fat chicken wings, Beluga for the babes, and drive you home in a stretch limo with HDTV...

Or, we need the winning streak to endure.

One or the other.

Either.
