The Yankees are on a pace to exceed my predictions

You laughed at me, but I don't hear anyone laughing now.

We'll see, we'll see! IF the kids continue to develop, then we could see some exciting wins this year. IF The Martian comes back and picks up where he left off .... IF the sleeping Judge will wake up .... IF Rodon holds it together .... IF Cortes doesn't get hurt .... IF Stroman can be an effective starter .... IF Schmidt builds on last year's experience ....

I'm not sure why they sent down Clayton Beeter. They're saying Master Beeter might not be a bad pitcher at all. So why not keep him up here and use him? Bullpen's going to get plenty of work this year. They could use a couple of young starting pitchers in the bullpen to come in and throw a few innings at a time, instead of the one inning search for the most ineffective reliever. John Smoltz said he thinks teams might be going back toward using long relievers, guys who can throw multiple innings at a time. Long relief, what a concept! Who might be the genius who thought of that innovation?

Volpe out today with an “upset stomach”
Who knows what they’ll call it tomorrow? After all LeMahieu went from a contusion to a broken foot.

JM said...

Stang, I thought my 93 was probably ill-advised. But your 103 is looking pretty good after three games. Hope it holds up.

I wonder if Volpe has the stomach flu that's going around. It's a bastard, as my wife and I have discovered. Still not fully over it after a week and a half.

I am reading all the posts from Charlie Brown. Lucy won't move the football THIS time!

Same as last year.

I expect the worst. That way I am never disappointed.

BTR999 said...

Gotta say, Soto sure looks to be the real deal so far.
Judge on the other hand looks lost, pulling off the ball with a too long swing

Would like to see a clean ninth inning from Holmes. Once.

TheWinWarblist said...

Did everyone notice it was critical Gleyber HUSTLE that lead to the winning run? Or am I tripping balls?

Pocono Steve said...

What is happening? I do not understand it.

John's call of Soto's go ahead hit in the 9th was so great. He could not have been more excited. Natural, unguarded enthusiasm. God bless him.

Rufus T. Firefly said...

I couldn't watch the game, but Gleyber, hustle? Not believing it.

Alphonso said...

Rodon has zero wins.

What does " Happy Easter " really mean?

Have a nice lunch with your family?
Buy a new bonnet?
Have a relative rise up from his grave and take you out for Chinese?
Get aa basket with colored eggs, peeps and a banana?
Beating the Astros in Houston?

Happy easter every one.

This weekend in Houston is the Yankees equivalent of Keith Richards. Ol’ Keith has the perfect F’ed up combo of drugs and booze in his system, so he goes on rockin’. The current roster of miscreants, AAAA players and stars that is just broomed the ASS-tros. If any of the perfectly F’ed up roster is disturbed, we lose. Or Keith dies, I’m not sure anymore.

Quick question for anyone still awake and not out getting drunk with the Easter Bunny.

It’s an easy one so . . . here we go.

How many more games need to be played before the Yankees go 4-6?

I’ll take my answer off the air.

Sleep?

Rufus T. Firefly said...

AA,

One might ponder that question of you.

After a night of good sushi, me and the missus are retiring to her boudoir shortly.

It is the very late hour of 9:35 here.

Aloha.
