UPDATE: The Lohud Blog reports that the salami might need Tommy John surgery and thus cannot be eaten until 2010. Bummer.

Frankly, I'll be disappointed if all our picks don't have TJ surgery.
A. It would be so un-Yankee to be healthy.
B. Who wants to see how bad these picks are right away?
C. A 3-4 year hiatus, post surgery, will help us all forget they are even in the organization.
D. Our level of hype and enthusiasm will diminish to appropriate levels (e.g. " blessed he is who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed."
E. We can sign Kazmir, CC Sabathia and, yes, Johan Santana before any of them are major league ready.
I wonder if the Mets would take 4 arm-surgeries, Tim Battle and Eric Duncan for Aaron Heilman?
