I propose that this IIH award be renamed the Whitey Ford Award and that El Duque petition MLB to rename the Cy Young Award as well. IIH can show leadership on this issue.
Cy Young is getting pretty dated. There's no one alive that saw him last pitch in 1911. Hell, there's almost no one alive that was alive in 1911. Some non-baseball fans might think he was an astronaut or invented the tractor.
