I can't remember the last time the Yankees faced a team that had better offensive players at basically every position.
By my count, that's 6 Rays at .280 BA or better. And 6 Rays at .900 OPS or better and 8 at .800 OPS or better.
On the other side, we have 1 Yankee at .280 BA or better. And 0 Yankees at .900 OPS or better and 1 at .800 OPS or better.
Do other teams struggle in trap games or just us?

Look at it this way. Just how bad are the Rays going to feel if we beat them at even a single game? They're going to look at the stats and find it unbelievable.
Of course, they don't have to worry about that happening. We suck.

When you have a GM who brings in stiffs, the latest being Jake Bauers, you cannot matchup with teams like Tampa. Tissue Mon Stanton is always unjured and Judge is not enough to make the Yankees good, although Judge carried the team in 2022. Stiffs galore, the Cashman way. Take a look at The Genius.
