"He sat there for one hour and told us how to properly use steroids." Lou Merloni Breaks the Redsock Wall of Silence

Apparently, George Mitchell couldn't spackle over this one.

Over the weekend, Lou Merloni (Boston IF, 1998-2002) offered up a cup of dayglow pee on Comcast SportsNet's The Baseball Show. (Via Boston Dirt Dogs)

Lou says in one spring team meeting, back in the days, the Redsocks brought in a Dr. Playgood to lecture the future Fenway pharma-faves on Juicing 101. But he wasn't there to bore them with a Mad Mother Against Drunk Driving presentation.

It could have been titled, Juice News You Can Use.

"He sat there for one hour and told us how to properly use steroids while I'm with the Boston Red Sox, sitting there with the rest of the organization, and after this I said 'what the heck was that?' And everybody on the team was like 'what was that?' And the response we got was 'well, we know guys are taking it, so we want to make sure they're taking it the right way'... "

Wait a minute, Manny was in that room.

Maybe this whole scandal isn't about Manny being Manny.

Maybe it's Manny being Main Street.
