Am I dreaming? Have I strode into some alternative Paula Abdul reality, where instead of receiving 83 waterboarding sessions per month, I get backrubs from 20-year-old contestants?
Look yonder, Yankiverse!
Rain has stopped! Flowers are blooming! Children are playing! The darkness is over!
Let us count the reasons.
1. Arod's back! We're 6-2 since his return.
2. Joba-Joba-Joba! With each start, looking more like a future ace.
3. Sabathia is here! Last two starts: 17 innings. The bullpen savior.
4. Teixiera heating up! Did he simply need Arod protection?
5. Matsui not done! Still sparks in the bat.
6. Chien-Ming coming back! Too good to disappear.
7. Bruney due back! Can't hurt.
8. Gardner/Melky. We've touted Gardner for two years (Alphonso, notwithstanding.)
9. Frankie! If they're calling Jorge "Georgie," we're calling Francisco Cervelli "Frankie."
10. Papi! Popeye off the spinach.

I'm uneasy. Not like a Sunday morning.
Have I jinxed us?
That's what Alphonso will say.
I'M A JONAH.
right. carp instead of whales.
11. Damon thrown out of game.
It's A-Rod coming back. He brought the Kaballah magic with him.
Let's have a little chat about Melky and Gardiner....looking at yesterday's Damon game.
1. Gardiner pinch runs. No one is out. We all know he will steal successfully, then Melky can bunt him over to third.
2. So Melky goes down on the first pitch and is thrown out, while Brett scurries to second.
3. Then, Francisco gets what is sure to be an infield hit, moving Brett to third.
4. So Brett, no knowing anything about Joe Mauer's athleticism ( QB of the year in High School, offered full ride by Florida State )tries to out run him to the plate.
5. We ake up and the opportunity to win the game is blown. Brett is out at home and Francisco is on first with two outs.
5. Cano hits a fly ball plenty deep enough to score Brett from third, if he was where he should have been.
6. When brains were passed out, these guys were at the airport.
Obviously, Alph, Girardi knew that Melky CANNOT BUNT.
He figured to waste a pitch, and then Gardner would steal second.
