  • Righty Anthony Swarzak opted for free agency instead of accepting an outright assignment.

Swarzak! We can't lose him. Joe wanted him for 6th inning specialist -- specializing in putting the game out of reach so the manager doesn't have to call for the good pitchers in the bullpen.

Can someone tell me in the history of baseball that a team has won a championship with someone named Blake on their roster? If not, great move....
