I would like to nominate the great Mr. Gary Sheffield.
Also, let's not forget Karim Garcia, who came to Jeff Nelson's aid against the Fenway groundskeeper.
I'd like to nominate Glenallen HIll.
He mashed .333/.378/.735 with 16 HR and 29 RBI in only 132 AB to start the decade, whilst only grounding into one double play and playing errorless ball in the field.
His production has not been equaled since.
