The Yankees today secured 28-year-old RH reliever Chris Martin from Colorado in exchange for "Cash considerations." Apparently, Brian Cashman will send them flowers on their birthdays.
This is the biggest news since the Yankees signed Gonzales Germen from the Mets and thus had to cut ties to Preston Claiborne.
To add Martin, they had to drop German.
Oh, well, it's not like they went out and resigned Jeff Francis.
Today's money line comes from the Scranton Times-Tribune:
[B]oth of those guys have a chance to start the season with the RailRiders, assuming Germen clears waivers.
