Hey guys, I have a suggestion for next year:

Along with the terrific tabloid back page count, how about a running comparison count, from January !, as to how many articles the Times runs on soccer vs. baseball?

Every day this week, it seems, I pick up The Paper of Record to find another big piece on #@! European soccer. Today it was a hand-wringing article about whether the racist troglodyte fans in Russia would stop being such racist troglodytes.

(The answer is no.)

They at least had something on the Yankees' John-Wayne-in-The-Searchers-like quest for a new manager. But still! This is out of hand.
