Why the South hates the North

"Then there is this pocket of TV viewers in Mississippi, who will be shown Kansas City at the Giants. The Giants are a very bad team, and the Chiefs are not exactly Mississippi’s team."

The South hates the North for the same reason fans of other teams hate the Yankees. We're winners, they're losers.

Though being force-fed a Giants game this season is just rubbing their faces in it. As is, I suppose, calling our team Yankees.

The Jints actually won, too. So the New York hate can pile on top of the North hate to create a rich, steaming stew of seething Southerners.

Also; Mississippi's team is either the Ole Miss Rebels or the Klan, right?

And the Klan only burns during the week.
