I think it's time for a marathon. Let's play five against the Mets starting Saturday morning. 30 minutes between games. Play until all five are done.
That's 35 innings of baseball, pretty much non-stop.
There's no way Gary, Hicks, and Gardy could play more than one or two games each. That would give a lot of guys some at-bats and also chances to impress in the field. Hell, I bet Frazier and Miggy could play three or four out of five if called on. Tauchman, too. Not to mention the great opportunities for our young pitchers to come up and shine, before being sent back down in favor of someone older and more mediocre.
If we start at 8:00 a.m., we should be finished by midnight. Maybe 1:00 or 2:00 on Sunday morning. And then everybody gets a nice rest until Tuesday, or whenever it's not raining and the other team hasn't tested positively for Covid.
Whaddya say, sports fans?

The team announced Wednesday it traded for Giants catcher Rob Brantly in exchange for cash considerations. Brantly is on the Yankees’ 60-man roster and will report to the team’s alternate site in Scranton.
Brantly, 31, appeared in just one game for the Giants this season after one big-league appearance with the Phillies in 2019. A career .228 hitter, he’s made 127 MLB appearances since 2012, previously playing for the Marlins and White Sox. He was designated for assignment by the Giants on July 28 and assigned to the team’s alternate site on Aug. 1.
Just great. We got ourselves a catcher who has played in exactly TWO games in the past two years. Word is it cost The Brain twenty five bucks. A great bargain.

I just hope for Frazier's sake that the heavy-lidded, dull-eyed Imbecile-in-Chief trades him in the next week.
Nah, I want to see him play for us.
But stick a fork in them: this team is done.
The truly smart move: deal Paxton to a contender, NOW. Also Happ. Bring up Schmidt and Deivi. Get a head start on the future, and some players for the dead wood. Maybe Machine Gun Chapman can be dealt, too—again.
I'd even consider dealing Tanaka. Those four guys alone are $68 mill off the payroll that you could maneuver with in the off-season.
But Hoss--what makes you think that the Imbecile-in-Chief will ever give Frazier consistent playing time? After all, he's only a dynamice young talent, not an overhyped veteran fobbed off on the Yankees by a smarter GM.
