This is weird. You have to listen to it a couple times.
This is the call of Arod's 8th inning home run yesterday, from John Sterling and Blue Jays' announcer Jerry Howarth (somebody out there check this?). I thought it would be neat to merge two distinctly different calls and see how it sounds.
It sounds... chaotic.
What is strange, though, is the way the two announcers -- after calling the home run -- seem to take turns at the mike. This is not editing on my part. Sterling keeps talking, doing his A-Bomb from A-Rod bit, engourged with delight, while Howarth remains silent, probably pumping barbells to relieve anger.
Then Sterling, out of breath, goes silent, and Howarth starts in.
Very strange. A walk-off would be crazier. Maybe next time.
