Dear Editor
I agree with the letter in the July 29 edition of the News rightly
criticizing Yankee "manager" Joe Girardi for taking out
pitchers who are going good and putting in pitchers who can't find the plate. I
think the Yankees are winning in spite of Girardi not
because of him.
Sure wish we could bring back Joe Torre or bring in Terry
Francona out of retirement or bring Jim Leyland over from Detroit and send
Girardi packing.
