John Sterling is waging a gale-force, power-lunged assault on history.
The Radio Voice of the Yankees, Driven By Jeep, is rewarbling the record books.
Last night's 7.22-second warble, delivered without a walkoff hit or memorable game-ending crisis, landed 0.01 seconds longer than his call in Game II of the Minnesota series. (The record does not include Sterling's verbally enhanced warbles, in which he elaborates on more than merely winning the game.)
Some numbers to consider
First Half Season Average: 5.58
All-time non-enhanced WinWarble: 8.02

all series clinching warbles are "verbally enhanced".
so maybe those should be clinch warbles instead of disputed warbles.
