I'm certainly not going to tag this with an asterisk. It would only insult the voters, something I'd never do.
What if we have a 24-hour waiting period next time? You know, you put up the nomination, people actually get time to think, and then you make the poll? And you actually read the nominations thread before you do it? Would that be all right? Because that would settle this, as far as I'm concerned.

Guys, guys, guys, would the inclusion of the other nominees really have produced an upset one of the most dominating performances in a YEOM poll that we have ever seen? I think not. All the bitching is ungrounded, and I resent it.
Adam, don't try injecting common sense into debates around here. It won't work, never has worked, and could be grounds for a 6-game suspension (although it could be reduced to 5 games on appeal).
