Help Choose Our SWB Scoreboard Announcement

The middle of the 4th inning of the First Annual It Is High! Scranton Roadtrip game will be something to see.

The question is, what should our Scoreboard Announcement say?

This is too delicious, too important. We need to take a couple days and really think this through. Great catch, I'm Bill White.

Free the Refsnyder!

I like 'FREE THE REFSNYDER."

Or how about, "HAL STEINBRENNER MUST DIE."

Those who can, do;
Those who can't, teach:
And those who can't teach, work in the Yankee front office.

Seriously. I'd drive to Scranton from the Deep South to be a part of this. Would they let Duque pitch the 9th?

And, I'll pick up Alphonso's bar bill.

A special Yankee Haiku from your friends at IIHIIFIIC:

                   No salary cap!
   We're the Yankees, you morons!
            (or at least we were.)

Just spoke with my parole officer. He says I can leave the state to attend this event if I get an autographed copy of Duque's book about Trump's poetry. Bill White gets a block of tickets so we can sit together & smoke a little reefer in the box seats?

Kayak.com lists several good hotels in Scranton from $28/night.

But if you ask me, I think it's gotta be Lackawanna Station Hotel. They have iPads at the front desk and complimentary WiFi.

I want a continental breakfast. And a pool. It's a thing with me.

Anybody wants me to autograph a copy of the book - contact me at hseely@twcny.rr.com and we'll figure it out.

I've identified Anonymous. He must be Donald Trump to be able to do that.

Seriously, is this going to be an official (as in semi organized) IIH event?

There is sentiment to do the Scranton trip, Rufus T. Can we function well enough to pull it off? That's the biggest question for 2016.

Would it be possible for those most familiar with Scranton's home schedule to propose a few dates? Or a single date (unilateral executive action on someone's part?). This would be a 12-hour drive of 750 miles for me, but I'd do it for the chances to meet the legends who post regularly on this blog. And thanks for the email address, Duque. I'll definitely want autographed copies of JuJu & Bard (and a selfie with you). Brilliant idea, Bill White.

Hey, I'm in on this. But we need to find a date, and also to leave a ticket for Hal Steinbrenner at the WILL CALL.

Here are some suggestions:

Click here for the full schedule

The Pawtucket Red Socks are in Scranton on August 20th.

   Pros:

It's the farm team of the hated Red Socks.

There could be some good jeering opportunities for Red Socks who were sent down (Jackie Bradley, Jr.) or on a rehab assignment (Big Papi).

It's a Saturday so those driving a long distance have a weekend day to get to the game and back home.

It's in August, so it will be nice and warm.

   Cons:

It's the farm team of the hated Red Socks.

It's in August, so it might be friggin' hot.

If you get enough people, you can access some private areas. Check this out ... or this if there are more people.

Food for thought.

August 20 sounds good. Can't wait to see the look on my wife's face when I explain why I'm driving to Scranton for the weekend.
