BREAKING: The Meg Maid just signed a multi-year with the Peacock - at least $15 mill per season, plus Tom Brady-like incentives. That means next year, she'll be lacing up her cleats in the same 30 Rock clubhouse as the legendary "Caw-Caw" Brokaw and "Bye-Bye Brian" Williams (who someday should make the Hall, if only the sportswriters forgive him.)
At $15 million, Megyn was making measly Melky Cabrera/Curtis Granderson money, as shown in the chart. Now that she's out of the Fox sweatshop, she's probably up there in earnings with Jason Verlander and Miguel Cabrera ($28 mill) or maybe even Clayton Kershaw ($35 million.)
One thing is for sure: Hal Steinbrenner wouldn't have signed her. Also, NBC must not be sweating the luxury tax or loss of a draft pick. Wow, imagine going out on the open market, without salary caps. Free market capitalism is sure weird.
