Yanks on track to reach pre-season post-season

It's time for your Yankee Indian Point Power Report, brought to you by the Indian Point Power Center, which is due to close by 2021, if it doesn't first blow a hole in the eastern seaboard:

With two dings yesterday, Greg Bird raised himself to second place among the 2017 MLB Grapefruit League home run standings. Greg is just one behind leaders Maikel Franco of the Phillies and ex-Yankee prospect Pete O'Brien, now of the Royals. (Think: Martin Prado trade.)

Also, relatively unheralded Yankee infield prospect Thairo Estrada has two home runs. Seven Yankees - including Aaron Judge, Starlin Castro, Gary Sanchez and Chris Carter - have one.

Swinging into swing with your Certa Perfect Mattress, here is the Yankee batting leaders...

Leading the Yanks is 24-year-old catcher Kellin Deglan, who is 3-for-3 and batting a crisp 1.000. Deglan is a former first-round pick of the Texas Rangers (2010), who has never reached Triple A. Last year, he hit .194 with nine home runs in the Double A Texas League.

Kellin is tied with Zach Zehner, a 24-year-old OF whom the Yankees picked in the 18th round of the 2015 draft. Last year, Zach hit .278 with three HRs for Tampa in High Single A. He is 1-for-1, also hitting 1.000.

The Yankee speed report - with high internet speed from Time Warner Cable - shows two Yankees leading the team in stolen bases. They are Jacoby Ellsbury and Triple A prospect Derek Fowler, both with one.

On the pitching side, painting the corners with Sherwin-Williams paint is Yankee strikeout leader Jonathan Holder. The 23-year-old has fanned five batters in two and two-third innings. Unfortunately, he has also surrendered four earned runs, achieving an ERA of 13.50.

Thus far, seven Yankee pitchers have been perfect this spring - no runs, hits or walks. They are Masahiro Tanaka, Adam Warren, Cale Coshow, Tyler Clippard, JR Graham, Kyle Haynes and Bryan Mitchell.

Congratulations to all Yankee statistical leaders on the Yankee network, driven by Jeep.

Hey, isn't the Certa Perfect Sleeper actually the Serta Perfect Sleeper?

I'm nitpicking. It's just great to see Byrd swinging for the fences again. Even Carter's Little Liver Pills is getting into the act.

We're going to win the World Series of Spring Training. You can feel the Bern.
