You also forgot the $12 million or so in salary that the Yankees are saving. They can use that to get someone like Ben Sheets.

Also, AJ has potential...but his upside is pretty much limited to what Granderson already is. Maybe AJ will get there, maybe not. He's not exactly the second coming of Rickey Henderson.
