Girardi Announces 3 Man Playoff Rotation of C.C., Hughesy and Ford

First he said, "Hopefully Boston will lose one more game so we can clinch." Then he added, "Pettitte is obviously rusty after his long layoff and I'd have to be out of my mind to use Burnsy. Besides I remember what happened to Stengel when he failed to use Ford properly in the 1960 series."

Whoa!!!
An accurate baseball history reference! Casey did screw that one up.
But does the guy who wrote that Leo > Casey piece remember the 1951World Series?
Or the 1969 Cubs, who Amazingly blew the division to the Metropolitans?

Leo was a legend in his own mind. I took his place as Babe's roommate when the Yanks got rid of him in 1929.
Babe hated Leo. He accused Leo of stealing.
