The official "We Can't Stop Now Because the Juju Gods are Great!" IT IS HIGH Game Thread

This is for tonight's game, which we will not win. Good god, the Reds are leading the National League Central! Considering the fatigue factor, we'll be lucky to score a run. Let's just thank the juju gods for allowing us to play. By the way, have you noticed how good they're looking lately? They've lost weight. Wow. They're like rock stars. I'd like to give each of them a foot massage. Let's not be afraid to tell them how much we care.

Is this the start of Tanaka: the Adventure Years?

I love Mighty Mite Torreyes. Too bad we have no hope.

As always, why even show up? We are totally outclassed. Let's go home.

I am assuming the position, by the way.

Hot Licks Aaron Hicks.

13bit: they are setting us up for s giant letdown.

Pass the pineapple.

Was that Bob Hope in the crowd? White golf cap? I have the sound off. I think they just showed Bob Hope.

I saw one of Rookie Davis' first pro games while pitching for Staten Island. It broke my heart when we traded him. I still root for him. But not tonight.

Bob "the Hit King" Hope.

Eduardo Nunez sighting! Playing outfield for Giants. The announcers were talking about him having trouble making a play.

The more things change ....

Headley saved a run on that error. If he hadn't slowed it Dow out might Jane gone ask the way to the wall.

Oops. Never mind guy just scored. Chase is trying!

Three batters hit and Judge is sitting? I figured a baseball could fix those damn teeth, but he missed his chance. Doesn't he want an endorsement deal?

Gary Sanchez is a terrible base runner. Terrible.

Guys:

I was out for the night having a few drinks beer with people who aren't baseball fans.

I returned and came straight here vs. going to mlb.com to get the score.

The comments look like we're getting killed.

WE'RE KICKING THEIR ASS.

Now, I'll go look at the rest of the box score and try to savor what's going on.

If this holds (top of the 8th, 10-4, 2 men on, 1 out), we'll have bought ourselves a day of rest AND kicked ass.

Awesome.

You know it is weird when Chris Carter is in as a defensive replacement.

But a nice weird.

I am standing down from the position. I was out, roving around far Brooklyn on Pineapple Patrol, but we seem to have come through. I don't know why we should even play tomorrow, though. We may as well concede the game and go home.

I CAN HONESTLY SAY AFTER WATCHING TONIGHT'S GAME, THAT THE REDS ARE A HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, TEAM...... FORGET ABOUT THEIR 17 - 14 RECORD AND THEIR 1ST PLACE STANDING.
THEY ARE A MINOR LEAGUE TEAM, WITH NO HITTING (MINUS VOTTO), NO STARTING PITCHING, AND NO BULLPEN. (THE DEFENSE LOOKED FOR SHIT TOO).....
WITH THAT SAID, WE CAN'T POSSIBLY WIN TOMORROW, NO SHOT WITH CC.
NIGHT GUYS.

Listening illegally under the sheets the best quote tonight was:

I went 7.5 innings falling asleep in the certainty that we will get murdered today.

I'm glad I went to bed early. The Reds are not even competitive. But Pete Rose was in the crowd. Wonder who he bet on?

Gary Sanchez is slow and used to the home run trot. Not stealing the extra base. I am surprised he didn't break his ankle on that pick-off play.

Gary Sanchez is doing his best Posada impersonation...
