Imagine if Cashman had a weapon....

This guy cannot and will not stop pulling the trigger.

Adam Lind is now 100 years old and no one wants him, except the bagging crew at the local supermarket.

But to Cashman, he has " creds."  He was once a good player who was never a Yankee.  Cash got him cheap.  Probably to threaten Greg Bird.  To present a viable challenge.

See below the uncontrolled fury of Cashman as a youth, demanding attention from his 5th grade classmates.

His teacher stands by to lend moral support.

Somewhere, he read that "Hall of Fame GM's never stop acquiring talent. " Only thing is; Cashman misread the last word.

So he captures Hal's attention ( " good work there Brian ...); and the NY Post ( " Cashman shows lack of confidence..").  And we suffer yet another indignity.  The Yankees stray further from the winning course.

Seriously, our GM is getting far too much credit for good luck and not enough criticism for being a total and complete asshole ( or " arsehole" as my UK friends advise ).

Lucky for the world, Cashman only has Hal's money to shoot at everything he sees.

By the way,  Brian did end up dating his teacher.

I have to disagree(not about Cashman being an asshole)about the signing. He's always been a decent glove and he can hit. Last year in 300 plate appearances-basically half of a season- he hit over .300, smacked 14 HR and had 60 RBI. Not too shabby. I don't know if there is any room for him if Andujar makes the team with Drury and Torreyes as platoon/back-up/spot starters unless you cut one of them which wouldn't be a smart move. But you needn't worry, Alphonso, he will 100% opt out and sign with another MLB team unless the Yankees add him to their roster and pay him a decent salary. Some team will either start him or give him a lot more playing time and money than the Yankees.

Austin just hit the game winning home run in the bottom of the ninth. He must have heard the news.

BRANDON DRURY.....

THAT'S THE DEAL THAT'S STICKING IN MY CRAW....

ONCE AGAIN, CASHMAN HAS PUT "SOMEONE IN THE WAY" TO PREVENT OUR HOMEGROWN TALENT FROM FLOURISHING.
