Hicks through '26!

He has signed a 7-year-deal for about $10 million per season.

When it ends, he'll be 36. He's probably got two years in CF, then he'll shift to a corner or 1B. Or the Yanks will deal him. Frankly, the contract isn't outlandish.

The question is, when it ends, will he have a ring or two?

I'm really surprised at this one. It's sort of like swapping out Gardner for Hicks for next several years. It also makes getting Trout or Mookie all the less likely with Stanton around for that long and Judge who they should be signing to a 10 year contract by now.

Hicks will get his rings, but it'll be with another franchise. The Yankees will never win again, and all of MLB will wear red suits to the Yankee franchise's funeral and dance on its grave.

The tarantella. They will dance the tarantella - in red suits - on the grave of the once great franchise.

Wow. Truly nuts. I like Hicks, and wish him well. But this is stupid.

Don't question the Four-Dimensional Chess Master, El Cashmaniac The Magnificent. He knows all and he is just trying to manifest the will of Hal, who truly cares about all of us. That's why they both love to win so much! Should have signed Hicks for 20 years.
