Last year, Doug Mientkiewicz clubbed 5 home runs for us -- that's Jacoby Ellsbury power! -- and only made two errors all season. We didn't even invite him to compete with Juan Miranda and the Duncan donuts, Shelley and Eric.

What a place to land. Finish your career in Pittsburgh, with a once proud franchise.
Today, the Pirates can't beat Seton Hall in a 4 of 7 gig.
Doug was great to watch. An artist.
But it won't beat the folly of watching Farnsworth emerge as our best option at First Base.
