Hey, at least it should be entertaining.

Almost miraculous: Stanton with an RBI SINGLE in the first.

But of course, can't score from second on a two-out hit.

Wait, wait...Tigers' pitcher hits Pereira with a pitch with the bases loaded and Stanton DOES manage to make it home. Who said he was through?

Another of those umps who makes one long for a robot strike caller. Detroit's catcher pulls every low slider up into the strike zone and the ump falls for it, every time.

Boy, does Peraza stink. Sorry to see it.

Nudge Nudge

First, I was ordering a magic TV box. Then, I was eating dinner. Then I had to convince MLB.tv that I was in Bratislava, so it wouldn't be blacked out.

I see the solo HR train has been running. Jogginson with another meaningless HR. Doubt I'll suffer through more. There's McHale's Navy reruns on.

Magic TV Box? And here I already thought they WERE magic…..

Maybe Carl can score you the CW?

From X:

If Oswald Peraza (23 yrs old), Everson Pereira (22), Anthony Volpe (22) and Jasson Dominguez (20) all start together in a game this weekend, it will be 1st time the Yankees have 4 position players age 23 or younger in same starting lineup since Sept. 18, 1969

Yankees win…

and if I hear one more time how the Yankees won their first season series since July...

and If I hear one more time how Cole was masterful even without his best stuff...

I'm going to keep repeating to myself: "It's the Tigers. The Tigers."

These callups are part of a nefarious agenda. If they look at ALL promising Hal will claim that he doesn't need to increase payroll (at least for positional players). Watch and see... And don't forget the old bromide, 'don't pay too much attention to players called up in September' (there's another half to the saying, it has slipped my mind Dave. I can feel it.).

Interesting stat, ranger!

And those four guys were Ron Blomberg, Frank Tepedino, John Ellis, and Thurman Munson. Hmmm...well, could have been worse!

AboveAverage said...

You’re right, Hoss.

It could be raining

HoraceClarke66 said...

Hey, if one of the four guys we play turns out to be a Munson, we're ahead of the game.

By the by, Torrents lost the game for Texas by issuing a walk and hitting a batter to force in a run in the bottom of the 10th.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah.

How ‘bout 77?
88 for Wells?

I just looked at the box score. The Yankees had a Zombie playing CF, and the final 3 batters in the order had a batting average -- combined! -- of .381.

Yes, this just goes to prove the Tigers are even worse than we all thought.

AA, my God the locker room is filled with stars!!!

I wonder what the odds are that all of these young guys make the HoF? Has to be astronomical. And if they do, it probably won't be with the Yankees. Any of them.
