Cashman calls ballplayers 'pieces'. I call them broken pieces. Broken by organizational incompetence.
DFA a guy who threw a perfect game? I dunno. Sounds like a great plan to give away a talented pitcher who will blossom on another team. Especially, if another team has a better strategy for keeping players healthier than break them like breadsticks' Yankees.
He's obviously a flawed human with great potential. Maybe the bright lights of NYC are too much for him. Maybe the BS that pollutes Yankee decision-making is messing with his head. Maybe he just needs to get counseling, face his demons and have a good mentor to help him stay sober. Yankees used to do that. Probably not anymore.
I just watched Rizzos press conference. That guy is scared. He didn’t say it, but he’s worried it’s all over. Dye his hair red and buy him a cat.
It really is unbelievable. Hey, you know what would have been a good idea? Figuring this out before the trade deadline and getting a first baseman.

But then… second thoughts. You could say I not only got cold feet, I expect all of our feet to remain cold in late October.
