BREAKING: Dave Eiland to Return for Old-Timers Day!

NEW YORK _ Ex-Yank legend Dave Eiland has confirmed that he will return Aug. 2 to Yankee Stadium, the birthplace of his pitching career!

The team today announced the biggest "GET" yet for the Old-Timers Day event, with Eiland, currently Yankee pitching coach, giving the "thumbs up" for what promises to be an emotion-laden return home.

It will be the first time Eiland has set foot in Yankee Stadium since July 23, 2008, when he sat in the dugout with manager Joe Girardi.

"It's going to be an incredible moment, seeing Dave again," Yankee son owner Hank Steinbrenner told reporters. "Just like old times. Get it? Old timers day, old times? Anyways, I still remember that game when he pitched for the Yankees. It was really something. Really, really something. I don't remember much about it, but I remember him being really something. Dave Eiland, right? Wait. Are you recording this? I didn't say you could record this. Goddammit, Abraham, turn that fucki-"

Eiland pitched in 32 games for the Yankees between 1988 and 1991 and made a name for himself as one of great anchors of the Columbus Clippers pitching rotation.

In his 10-year major league career, he won 12 games with an ERA well below 6.00!

Welcome back, Dave!
