Hate Letter to the Editor

Naples Daily News (Florida)
April 27, 2009 Monday

Editor, Daily News:

Journalists should be unbiased.

The headline in your sports section on April 19 was "Bronx Bummer: Indians' 14-run 2nd dooms Yankees."

Why is this a bummer? I thought it was one of the best ball games I have watched in the last 10 years since I moved here to Naples.

This just illustrates the biased reporting in the sports pages of the Daily News. Your reporting should be slanted in favor of the majority of the readership, or in favor of the local teams (the Marlins and the Rays).

They should have been the lead stories on that page.

This is not New York or Boston, to which your stories are always slanted.

I dare say that half your readership hates the Yankees, and the rest only dislikes them strongly.
The paper should represent Naples.

New York and Boston are 1,500 miles from here.

And, yes, I hate the Yankees.

Wow...such well-constructed prose, too. I wonder if it occurs to this redneck that it would still be a "Bronx Bummer" for people, you know, in the Bronx, even if it was a "Trailer Park Triumph" for him...

Naples has that charming Midwestern ambiance. And too many goyim.
