Heroic Redsocks vow to not raise ticket prices

It's hard to imagine luckier fans than Boston's Fenway faithful. As they wait for the next Francona and news that John Lackey's surgeons will plant a hairpin between his ribs, the local Youks can drain their Sam Adamses knowing that billionaire owner John Henry won't gouge them for a few extra blood nickels in 2012.

Tickets will remain the same: Overpriced.

God, I wish I could read the emails that went into that decision.

Without the Redsocks, 2011 would have been a crap year.

Thank God for each and every one of them, particularly Captain Varitek. I mean that. I'm no longer angry over 2004. It's as if the pain of that collapse has been erased. Thank you, Boston. Enjoy the prize freeze. You earned it.
