Our Trenton Thunder farm organization will bestow on seven former Thunderers the equivalent of a baseball Academy Award: Their Bobblehead Doll Giveaway Day.
Jesus Montero has made the bobblehead cut.
His free bobblehead -- courtesy of Verizon -- event takes place at the season finale on Thursday, September 2 against Dacron (Cleveland Indians). Jesus will be depicted bobbling in his home pinstripe uniform, even though there is a chance he'll have been traded by then for a pitcher to replace Javier Vazquez... or maybe for Johnny Damon.
Other Thunder promotions: Kids Eat Free Mondays, $1 Dog Tuesdays, Wacky Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays, Family Fun Fridays, Fireworks Spectacular Saturdays and Kids Rule Sundays.
