Joe DiMaggio once said, "I'd like to thank the good Lord for making me a Yankee." While New York Yankee baseball fans are disappointed with the team's first round exit from the playoffs, many current Yankee players should indeed be thankful for their financial windfalls this year.
Before money from the playoffs, endorsements or other sources of income, Yankee players Mariano Rivera and Derek Jeter each made almost $15 million, Mark Teixera made $23.2 million and Alex Rodriquez made $32 million!
Maybe if the Occupy Wall Street crowd was aware of these amounts, they would become the "Occupy Yankee Stadium" crowd.
