“I really believe we are going to bust out of this. We haven’t yet, and I know I keep saying it. But I really believe in my heart that these guys are going to hit and we are going to score a lot of runs.”

TO BE HONEST....I LIKE GIRARDI, BUT IT IS TIME FOR HIM TO GO...THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME KIND OF DISCONNECT WITH THIS TEAM....WE NEED A CHANGE.....I WOULD PREFER A TOUGHER, RAH-RAH, HIGHER ENERGY, MANAGER WITH A PLAN (AND THAT PLAN DOES NOT INCLUDE "A REST" FOR A GUY WHO GETS 2 OR 3 HITS THE NIGHT BEFORE).....NOTHING EVER CHANGES WITH THIS TEAM, NOTHING....IT'S TIME TO CHANGE.....

I don't like Girardi, but otherwise I agree with Anonymous.

"His final season as Yankee manager"

Wishful thinking. As long as he trots out the party line to the media and bows his head to Cashman's will, he'll have that job.

Wait till they start selling nostalgia for the 2009 WS win.

Girardi needs to go because he always pulls the pitcher one hitter too late.

I agree with all of the above, but would add that nobody could win with this team,,,,,

The problem with the Yankees is the organization.

It begins with ownership which only, " pretends to care."

Big George meant it. And he won.

Hal just plays the game, and fakes his commitment to, " carrying on the legacy of George and the Yankees."

That's why Cashman skates, and keeps his job, despite every metric that screams failure. Failure in developing players, failure in drafting players, failure in trades and free agency signings. Failure at every level. Every time.

But he just rappels down the side of another building, and goes to meetings.

Joe survives because he is a Cashman appointee. They have a bromance.

So , until and unless the Yankees move to new ownership, nothing changes. Not the approach and not the Failures.

And Hal doesn't need to sell because no one has, as yet, appeared in front of one of his castles, intent on burning it down.

The money just keeps flowing in.
