Having run out of numbers, Yankees to start retiring letters

This made me laugh out loud.

After all the single- and two-digit numbers are retired, what happens? Three digits? Some combination of letters and numbers? Glyphs? Symbols of Ra?

And I still don't like Torre. 6 is and always will be Roy White, a class act.

If they retire the letter "E", John will have to start saying things like:

You just can augur our sport of hardball!
